International Cat Day 2026 — Event Announcement

August 8 is International Cat Day.

This day is meant to "deepen the bond between people and cats
and to wish for a world where cats can live safely and happily,"
and it's an important occasion to think about
the welfare and protection of cats around the world.

Through cat-themed artwork,
we wanted to create a chance to reflect on our everyday bond with cats and the preciousness of life,
and so, to mark this International Cat Day,
we've put together a collaboration project with several artists.

A portion of the proceeds during this period
will go toward supporting cats affected by the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred on July 29,
Cat Disaster Rescue Fund (VCATS JAPAN @vcatjapan ) will be receiving this donation.
