Onddoka name charm

With a collar just in case

Cats are very delicate animals. When a disaster occurs, they may get startled by the sounds of things falling or breaking and run out of the house. Sometimes they will return on their own after a few days, but sometimes they just run off somewhere and are never found.

Are there any pet owners who think, "I always lock my doors, so it's okay?" No matter how much you prepare for emergencies, unexpected things can happen.

Leaving windows and doors open is not the only reason why cats run away. In the Noto Peninsula earthquake, there were cases where the front door gradually opened due to the violent horizontal shaking, causing cats to escape. Also, if the owner is out and the house collapses due to the disaster, the cat will have no choice but to go outside. Even if the owner is at home and can evacuate together, the cat may not be accepted at the evacuation center. Even if the owner is lucky enough to be accepted, the cat may not be able to adapt to the environment and may hide somewhere. There are various cases where a cat can go missing.

Even if a cat is rescued by a public health center or other facility, if it does not have a collar and no contact information is available, it may be mistaken for a stray cat. The deadline for posting a notice on the website to inform people that a cat is being taken in is only a few days. It is not uncommon for cats to end up in the hands of someone else if they cannot find an owner. If a cat is sick or injured and there is no hope of recovery, it may be euthanized in order to put it out of its misery.

Of the animals rescued after the Great East Japan Earthquake, 100% of dogs with identification tags were returned to their owners. Contact information was also identified by the identification tags and rabies vaccination tags required by the Rabies Prevention Law. Unfortunately, there were no cats with identification tags .

Onddoka name charm

Collars are stressful for cats, so putting a noticeable tag on them may make them dislike it even more.

At Onddoka, we hold order events for small, lightweight name charms (lost cat tags) that won't be a burden on your cat from the 1st to the 3rd of every month.

1. Features of "ONddoka order Name Charm (for collars)"

We will engrave your cat's name and phone number on a small, lightweight brass plate that fits your cat's body. Engraving has the advantage that the letters will not become unclear even if the plate gets dirty when your cat escapes.

2. Choose your wearing method

The "Order Name Charm (for Collars)" can be attached to a collar using either a hook or a jump ring. Please choose the one that best suits your collar and purpose.

・Hook type

It is easy to put on and take off, so you can quickly put it on in case of an emergency. It is also recommended for those who change collars frequently or for those with long hair who are worried that the charm will be hidden.

・Round ring type

The overall length is short, so it doesn't shake much and is less stressful for cats. You will need tools such as needle-nose pliers to put it on, but it is especially recommended for cats who are not used to wearing collars.

3. Combination of wearing method and collar

Below are some recommended combinations for different collar types:

・Cat-friendly cotton collar/ribbon...both types can be worn, the one with the charm facing forward is the jump ring type

・Cat-friendly cotton collar/without ribbon...Both types can be worn, the one with the charm facing forward is the jump ring type

・Cat-friendly cotton collar/frill...Only hook type can be attached

-Cat-friendly cotton collar/choker...both types can be worn

・Cat-friendly cotton collar/bib collar...Only hook type can be attached

*Can be attached to all collars except the "French Knot Embroidered Ruffle Collar."

*Safety and handling of brass materials

Unlike heavy metals, brass does not have any harmful metallic toxicity, so it is safe for cats to lick it. Also, although it may develop a rust-like coating on the surface, it is harmless unless ingested in large quantities.

Brass will change to a darker, more subdued color over time. We hope you enjoy this unique feature. If it bothers you, you can use metal polish to restore the shine.
