About Onddoka Elizabethan Collar

Made of fabric that doesn't cause stress to cats

Elizabethan collars are essential to prevent cats from licking their wounds after surgery. They have the advantage of helping wounds heal faster, but most products are made of hard plastic, which can be stressful for cats.

"My cat hated it and it was a real pain. Do you have anything made of a soft material?"

In response to such requests from pet owners, Onddoka has created a soft cloth Elizabethan collar.

Can be used in a variety of situations

Onddoka's Elizabethan collar is light and soft. It is comfortable to wear for long periods of time without causing stress, so it can be used for a variety of purposes.

Use it as a cover to prevent your kitten from licking and destroying the collar after spaying or neutering surgery, or as an adult cat when they have an injury or dermatitis. It is especially recommended for kittens who spend a lot of time sleeping during post-operative care. Prepare it before surgery and let your cat practice wearing it to make the post-operative process smoother. Plastic collars that you can borrow from hospitals are often reused and can break easily. It is a good idea to have an Elizabethan collar for your cat, so you can use it without panicking in case of an emergency.

When you turn it upside down towards your pet's body, it can also be used as a cape. The Elizabethan collar will not get caught in the food bowl when eating.

For cats with little hair or older cats, it is a good idea to use it to keep them warm during the cold weather. It is also useful for preventing hair from flying around during the shedding season.

Features of Onddoka Elizabethan Collar

It has been said that cloth Elizabethan collars have the disadvantage of becoming worn out when the pet bumps into a wall. They also have the disadvantage of coming off easily and needing to be resized as the pet grows.

Therefore, at Onddoka, we have created an Elizabethan collar that is gentle on cats and easy to use, focusing on the following four points:

1. Made to retain its shape

Applying the technology we have developed through many years of experience in planning ladies' underwear, we have used two different types of interlining to make the collar less likely to lose its shape. The string for the neck adjuster is soft and does not use interlining, to prevent bald spots around the collar.

2. No need to buy a new one

The adjuster allows you to adjust the size of the collar around the neck, so it can be used from kittens to adult cats. The plastic cord stopper fits gently to any size cat. It's convenient to have several of them so you can change them for washing.

3. Safety

Although it is only temporary, we took safety into consideration as it is something that a cat will wear.

- When climbing up to a high place, hard plastic bell-shaped or wide donut-shaped Elizabethan collars often hit shelves or furniture and cause cats to fall. It's not so bad if the Elizabethan collar just comes off, but it can also worsen the wound or lead to unexpected injury. To prevent such accidents, the collar is designed not to open too much and has a slim shape that fits the face, making it less likely to get caught. The cats we use to prevent licking and breaking are mostly young and very active, so we need to be careful. We have received many comments such as, "When I used Onddoka's Elizabethan collar, I was able to watch over my cat with peace of mind even when he was moving around as usual. It's very useful."

We use natural cotton that is gentle on cats' bodies. It is safe even if your cat puts it in its mouth.

4. Design

Onddoka offers Elizabethan collars in a variety of patterns and colors. Seeing your beloved cat in a painful state after surgery or injury is more painful than you might imagine. We have chosen fabrics with gentle colors and cute patterns with the hope of easing the anxiety of owners even just a little. Find the one and only that is perfect for your beloved cat.

Machine washable

When it gets dirty, you can put it in a laundry bag and wash it in the washing machine. Since it has a similar structure to a bra, a laundry bag for lingerie is perfect.

However, the color may transfer or fade. To prevent shrinkage, please refrain from using a dryer or drum-type washing machine. Also, dry in the shade.

If your cat gets wet while drinking water, you can towel dry it by moving the damp part towards the top of the head or drying it with a hair dryer.

How to put on an Elizabethan collar

Open the adjuster to its maximum and place it over your head. If you are using it to prevent your head from being licked and broken, leave 1-2 fingers of slack and wear it so that it fits around your neck, so it will not come off easily. After putting it on, tuck the string inside so it does not get in the way.
