Dehumidifying mat for cats
I made a dehumidifying mat out of cloth for my cat, who is sensitive to humidity .
By placing it on a cat bed, cage, or other surface, it will absorb moisture from the surrounding area and help regulate the humidity in your cat's favorite place.
*You can reuse it over and over again by occasionally drying it in the sun on sunny days.
There are no decorations that could lead to accidental ingestion, so you can use it safely even when you are not watching.
■Material: Outer: Hand-block printed 100% cotton (Made in India) / Inner: 100% cotton (Filling: Polyester)
■Size: Approx. 42cm x 31.5cm
■ Country of origin: Japan (Osaka Prefecture)
■Notes:
・Machine washable. If using a washing machine, please use a laundry net and avoid tumble drying.
Due to the nature of the product, color fading and color transfer may occur. Please wash separately from other clothing.
-Since it is made of highly absorbent fibers, if it absorbs a lot of water after washing, it will take 1-2 days to dry. If it gets damp, dry it thoroughly in the sun.
- Moisture-absorbing fibers are very sensitive to high temperatures and tend to shrink. We recommend avoiding the use of an iron, and if you do use one, use it on medium-low heat for a short time.
About the product
Indian handwoven cotton outer fabric This is a dehumidifying mat for cats made from quilted fabric with machine stitching to ensure that the cushioning is not compromised.
The absorbent fiber inside is It has a moisture absorption capacity approximately seven times that of cotton and twice that of silica gel, and also has excellent deodorizing properties.
It can be reused by drying in the sun, and its performance does not decrease even after repeated water absorption and moisture absorption. *It is an environmentally friendly fiber that burns with low calories.
Humidity is more important to cats than temperature
When it rains for several days in a row, you may start to worry about your cat's overly thorough grooming.
Long-haired cats in particular are prone to having their skin become sweaty, and we often hear of cases where they develop eczema and bald spots without even realizing it.
Cats from the desert can tolerate dry heat, but they do not do well in humid heat, which can have a negative impact on their health.
Humidity control measures are also recommended for cats that spend a lot of time lying down, such as during nursing care.
About Indian hand-dyed fabric "Hand Block Print"
Hand block printed fabrics often have small stains and ink splatters due to the manual process. There are also many cases of dye bleeding and uneven color. At Onddoka, we tolerate these as much as possible and use them in our products to reduce waste . We hope you will understand this and enjoy the look that cannot be achieved with machine dyed fabrics.
