"Soft Elizabethan Collar for Cats"

A gentle fabric Elizabethan collar that can be used from kittens to adult cats.
You can also turn it upside down and use it as a cape.
It is extremely lightweight and puts little strain on your neck, so it is designed to cause minimal stress even when used for long periods of time.

Post-surgery and illness care, protection from the cold, keeping shed fur from flying around during molting season, and more — there are many ways to use it.
Of course, it can be washed.

■Care: Washable. Hand wash (press wash) in water of about 30℃, or place it in a laundry net and wash on a “gentle” or “hand wash” cycle. Do not tumble dry.
Due to the nature of the product, the color may fade or transfer. There may also be rubbing or bleeding of the print, but please understand this as part of the charm unique to hand block printing. The product may also have an odor characteristic of the dyes and materials. It will gradually fade with washing (rinsing before use) or drying in the shade on a sunny day.


About the product

One drawback of fabric collars is that cats, which like narrow spaces, bump into walls while walking and the collar loses its shape. However, the “Soft Elizabethan Collar for Cats” uses two types of core material, drawing on the design of bra cups, so that it resists losing its shape.
The string around the neck that touches the skin does not use any core material, making it soft and not a cause of hair loss.

The main body is made of traditional Indian hand block print fabric. Hand dyed with vegetable dyes, each print has a different look and a warm texture.

About "Hand Block Print," a hand-dyed fabric from India

Hand block print fabrics often show small stains or ink spatters from the handwork. There is also frequent dye bleeding and uneven coloring. To reduce waste, Onddoka accepts these areas as much as possible and uses them in our products. We hope you will understand this and enjoy the character that machine dyeing cannot achieve.


How to put on a soft Elizabethan collar for cats

Open the adjustment strap to its maximum and, with the button undone, place the hat over your head.
After adjusting, tuck the string inside so it doesn't get in the way.
When using it as a collar, turn it inside out while it is still on when eating or drinking to prevent it from getting dirty.
The adjuster is adjusted
- If you are concerned about the collar not coming off during post-surgery or illness care, adjust the adjuster so that it leaves a slack of one or two fingers.
If you are using it as a cape to keep warm, we recommend wearing it loosely.
・For long-term use, frequently slip your fingers into the neck part to check the fit. Kittens' neck circumference changes day by day, and adult cats' fur volume also changes with the seasons. Making this part of your daily bonding time gives peace of mind.
-If you have small children or family members with allergies, you can also use it to reduce the amount of hair that flies around during the shedding season.


Washing Instructions

It can be washed at home.
 If you wash it by hand (press wash) in warm water at about 30℃, it will not lose its shape and you can use it for a long time. If you use a washing machine, please wash it in a laundry net on the "weak water flow" or "hand wash" setting.
Do not tumble dry.
When drying, make sure to properly shape the product and dry it thoroughly inside and out in a shady, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
 As this item is made of hand-dyed cotton, the color may run. Please be careful when washing with other clothes.

造りがしっかりしていながらも硬すぎないので、快適に着用できるエリザベスカラーだと思います。
デザインもとっても素敵です◎
洗い替え用でキナリフラワーも購入しましたが、キナリフラワーと比べると生地が少し硬めなのか、サイズ調整が若干大変でした。
長毛種はアジャスターに毛が挟まり安いので、着用時はそこだけ気をつけてあげると良いかもしれません。
